Jerry Delgado

Mr. Jerry Delgado passed away on Friday, January 12, 2018 at St. Mary’s of Michigan-Saginaw. Age 66 years. He was born on May 31, 1951 in Saginaw, Michigan to Esperanza Merino.

Jerry Delgado, a resident of Saginaw, Michigan, was a graduate of Saginaw High School. He retired from AT&T. Jerry enjoyed photography, attending church, family time and summer bar-b-ques. He especially enjoyed watching sports with his grandchildren. Jerry was co-founder of New Beginnings Ministries Outreach.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 47 years, Velia Delgado; they were married on April 3, 1971. He also leaves four sons, Jerry Jr. (Monica), Augustine (Claudia), Michael (Amy) and Nicholas; nineteen grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one sister, Anita Merino; three brothers, Robert (Angie) Delgado, Richard (Theresa) Delgado and Gilbert Jr. (Rose) Merino; many nieces and nephews; a very special cousin, Phil (Pat) Flores.

Jerry was preceded in death by one brother, Juan Philipe Delgado, Sr.; one sister, Alicia (Alice) Rocha, and step-father, Gilbert Merino, Sr.
