Jeanne Kaminski, 78, of Okemos, Michigan, passed away on July 3, 2025. Born March 2, 1947, in Flint, Jeanne’s remarkable journey was defined by grace, vivacity, and a commanding presence that left a lasting impression on everyone she met. A proud alumna of Michigan State University, Jeanne earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees before embarking on a distinguished career in education. As principal of Syring Elementary in Swartz Creek, she shaped countless young lives with her leadership, vision, and unmistakable sense of style.

Known for her glamour and unrivaled hospitality, Jeanne cherished laughter-filled evenings around the bridge and dining room tables where she enjoyed the company of family and treasured lifelong friendships. Her warmth and fabulous spirit created memories that will continue to inspire her loved ones.

Jeanne is survived by her devoted husband of fifty years, John Kaminski, and dedicated daughter, Morgan Kaminski, who will always carry forward Jeanne’s strength and love. Jeanne is also survived by her three loving sisters: Nan Spence, JoAnn Chapman, and Mary Hutson.

The Kaminski family would like to give special thanks to Jeanne’s McLaren hospice team, the compassionate nurses, doctors, and staff at McLaren hospital, and her incredible caregivers, Toni and Melissa, whose kindness and support brought comfort to the Kaminski trio in her final days.

Jeanne’s legacy of elegance, friendship, and service will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

A memorial for Jeanne will take place this fall in East Lansing.

In place of flowers, the family is requesting donations to the Magic of Literacy, World Central Kitchen, and/or Planned Parenthood.
