Jaylan Michael Mitchell transitioned from his earthly home to his heavenly home on Saturday, February 14, 2026, in Lansing, Michigan. Age 31 years. He was born on Monday, December 5, 1994, in Detroit, Michigan, to Tamira Mitchell and Markous Siebert.
Jaylan was a proud graduate of Holt High School and furthered his education at Great Lakes Christian College. Jaylan worked primarily in manufacturing and construction. However, his most important and cherished role was being a devoted father to his seven beautiful children.

He was baptized into the family of faith on December 3, 2006, at Mt. Zion All Nations Bible Church. His faith was important to him, and he loved God above all. Jaylan valued family, loyalty, and creating lasting memories with those he cared about.
Jaylan’s love, laughter, and spirit will continue to live on through all who knew and loved him.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories his seven beautiful children, Harmony, Xavier, Amiyah, Jada, A’Nylah, Aubrey, and Malaysia; bonus children, Cymphany, Egypt, and Jerry; father and stepmother, Markous (Jenna) Siebert; stepfather, Michael Pompey; grandparents, John (Leola) Mitchell; sisters, Mikera and Mikeisha Pompey; stepsister, Malika Murray; brothers, Justin and Kane Siebert; special friend, Chelsea Carroll; many aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and friends including his Mt.
