James Wesby

Mr. James Wesby Sr. passed away Friday, June 3, 2011 at Covenant Medical Center-Cooper. Age 88 Years. He was born March 20, 1922 in Shells, Mississippi to Ed Wesby and Delie Jackson.
James accepted Christ at an early age. He left Mississippi in 1948 and moved to Muncie, Indiana where he was employed as a laborer for General Motors and Mohawk Plant. James enjoyed gardening and canning. He moved to Saginaw, Michigan in 1975 where he remained until his death.
Surviving are one daughter, Sara Johnson, Detroit, MI; six grandchildren, Andre (Tonya) Johnson, Ivan Johnson, Anthony Johnson, Jonathan Johnson, Andrea Johnson, Tanae Johnson; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Laura McIntosh, Anderson, IN, Maggie Brown, Muncie, IN; many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his son, James Wesby Jr., parents, Ed and Delie Wesby; grandson, Kareem Johnson; seven brothers, Calvin, Otis, William, Willie, Walter, Elliot and Carl Wesby; two sisters, Elizabeth Wesby and Pearlie L. Brooks.
