JaJuan Dominique Keas was born on August 23, 1982, in Detroit, Michigan, bringing infinite joy to his parents and his entire family. While attending private school in Detroit, his humor, charm, and larger-than-life presence quickly made him the center of every room. He was truly the life of the party.
In 1994, JaJuan’s family relocated to East Lansing, Michigan, where JaJuan continued his education in the East Lansing Public School District. He graduated from East Lansing High School in 2001, forming countless friendships built on his infectious personality and genuine love for people.
In 2004, JaJuan became a devoted father to his first daughter, Jada Dominique Keas, followed by the births of Janae Dariana Keas and Adrienne Jennifer Keas. His daughters were the light of his life, and his love for them was unwavering and profound.
JaJuan was baptized on February 19, 1995, at Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church in Lansing, MI. He rededicated his life to Christ with his daughter Jada on November 2, 2014, at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Lansing, MI. He attended church with his mother and daughters until his illness prevented him from doing so.
JaJuan will be remembered for his laughter, his warmth, his unwavering love for his daughters, and the way he made everyone feel seen and valued. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
JaJuan transitioned peacefully on January 26, 2026, surrounded by his daughters and his family. While this brings pain to those who love him, there is comfort in knowing that his suffering has finally ended.
JaJuan leaves to cherish his memory his parents, Jennifer and Fred Watson and Kendal Gittens; his daughters, Jada, Janae, and Adrienne; his sisters, Tanisha (Stephen) Black and Autumn (Gerald) Render; his nieces, Morgan Black and Samantha Black; his nephews, Melvin Bender and Nasir Render; along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends who will forever hold him close in their hearts.
He will be loved and cherished always.
