Jackie Lynn Myers

Mrs. Jackie Lynn Myers passed away Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at University of Michigan Health - Sparrow in Lansing, Michigan. Age 63 years. She was born on Sunday, September 30, 1962, in Mason, Michigan, the daughter of Wilson Creager and Gladys Franz Creager.

Jackie was a remarkable woman who possessed an extraordinary strength that transcended the understanding of many. She was fiercely stubborn when necessary and tenacious when life tried to undermine her. Above all, Jackie was an embodiment of love. Despite all her yelling she was the very essence of our family’s unity, the voice on the phone, the seat at the table, and the one who ensured that no one felt overlooked. Her life was dedicated to her grandchildren. Jackie spent countless nights in front of the TV, attended concerts, going to the racetrack, and even indulged in the occasional loud video game but amidst all these activities, she found solace in the quiet comfort of her crochet needle and her fur babies at her feet. Jackie’s greatest joy lay in the simple fact of being a family.

They say life moves in a circle—we are born into the arms that hold us, we grow, we stumble, and we build our own families. In time, we become the arms that hold our loved ones. Mom was those arms. And while her presence at the center of our lives may now feel empty, the circle of life continues to spin. Because the true essence of all this—the reason we are here at all—is family.

She is survived by her devoted husband, William; children, Thomas and Amanda; grandchildren, Damien, Jacob, Abel, Chloe, and Lee; sister, Jan; many loved ones and countless friends she gathered along the way.

She was preceded in death by son, Daniel; parents; sisters, Bonnie, Sue, and Ellen; brothers, Donnie and Jimmy; niece, Tracy; and nephews, Wayne and Tim.

If I have inadvertently forgotten your name, please know that she never forgot the special place you held in her heart. Some more that I can recall from my father’s side of the family include Amare, Mary Beth, Jammie, Lori and Ramon Ross; aunts, Arlene and Marilyn; I could go on forever so on that note.

I will carry you with me, Mom—in every gathering, every song, and every moment that reminds me that love is the very force that binds us together. Thomas Starkweather
