Howard Summerville (Lansing)

Mr. Howard Summerville peacefully passed away Friday, June 15, 2018 at his residence in Lansing, Michigan. Age 72 years. He was born November 27, 1945 to William and Lilia Summerville in Piney Ridge, Arkansas.

Howard attended Gurdon Public Schools, graduating from Bell’s High School in 1964. Shortly, thereafter he relocated to Lansing, Michigan. He worked very briefly for General Motors. But, due to his love of outdoors, he decided to change careers, and became a construction worker. Howard worked diligently for Christman Construction for many years until his retirement in 1996. He was a true outdoors-men's. He loved to fish, hunt, and ride his motorcycle. However, his favorite hobby was collecting older model automobiles and fixing them up.

Howard leaves to cherish his memory his three sons, Terry, Allen, and Eric; one daughter, Teresa; five grandchildren; two sisters, Thelma (Muhammad) Qawwee of Lansing, Michigan, Bobbie Jones of California; many other relatives, friends, good neighbors.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters; Hazel Hodge, Gloria Gentry-Watkins; brother, Charlie Summerville.
