Odasi Hamenyimana, age 68, of Lansing, Michigan, passed away on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, in East Lansing, Michigan.

Odasi was born on March 10, 1957, in Makamba, Burundi, to Gerurwa Elisha and Isabedeca Regina. On July 7, 1977, he married his dedicated wife, Harimesha Eva.

A man devoted entirely to his faith and ministry, Odasi's spiritual journey began when he worked hard to become a deacon before being named an evangelist in 1991. He was ordained as a minister in 2000. By 2011, he had risen to the position of Senior Pastor, overseeing 22 churches worldwide. Under the Pentecostal Fellowship of the Holy Spirit Church, Reverend Hamenyimana founded a remarkable 22 churches—15 across America and 7 in Malawi. He also enjoyed sharing his love of God through song, often participating with the choir.

Odasi and his family first immigrated to Tanzania in 1995 before moving to the United States. Upon settling in Lansing, Michigan, he found employment at Sohn Linen, working diligently while continuing his powerful ministry.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Harimesha Eva; sons, Shukurani Issac, Matundu Nahumu and Nuru Abeli; daughters, Kabura Esta and Minani Esperance; and 14 grand children.
