Guy Jenkins Jr.

Guy Roger Jenkins, Jr. went home to be with the Lord on Friday, July 18, 2025, at his residence in Lansing, Michigan. Age 76 years. He was born Wednesday, August 4, 1948, in Anderson, South Carolina, the son of Guy Roger Jenkins, Sr. and Eloise Hunter Jenkins.

Guy was a resident of Lansing for the last 60 years. He was a General Motors Corporation employee for 38 years. Guy helped build America's leading vehicles. He was a Vietnam era veteran, serving in the United States Army. He was passionate about home improvement projects, socializing with lifelong friends, and spending time with his children, especially his daughter and grandchildren.

He leaves to cherish his memory his three children, Guy Jenkins II, Demarr Jenkins and Alysha Jenkins; four grandchildren, Jamal Sanders, Emalee N. Carey, Jalam T. Carey and Nicole S. Carey; three sisters, Iona Jackson, Mary Latten and Felicia Jenkins; two brothers, Aaron Jenkins, Sr. and Freddie Jenkins; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Sandra Grace and Virginia Hall; and brother Tony Jenkins, Sr.
