Gladys Pearson (Lansing)

Mrs. Gladys Lee Smith Pearson passed away Monday, June 22, 2020 at Sparrow Health Systems – Sparrow Campus in Lansing, Michigan. Age 82 years. She was the daughter and oldest child of Johnnie and Elizabeth Smith in Vicksburg, Mississippi.

Gladys came to Lansing as a teenager where she attended Rena Bible School and went to college majoring in word processing. She was a member at Rivers of Life Church under the leadership of Pastors Jesse and Brigitte Brown.

Gladys was the mother of three children, daughters, Andrea Elizabeth Husband, Carolyn Shiree Morgan-Wright and son, Baran (Bi) Roojon Pearson.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories, daughters, Andrea, Brenda Fay McKindsy and Consante of Las Vegas, Neveda and son, Baran; 9 grandchildren, Chenier, Andras, Ashren, Anicka, Andrew IV, Annice, Anthony, Taneil, and Javion; 23 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren; Goddaughter, DeLose Terry; Spiritual daughters, LeAnna Thompson, Greta Trice and Sabrina Todd, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roosevelt Pearson; daughter, Carolyn Shiree Morgan-Wright; parents, Johnnie and Elizabeth Smith; and brother Rufus Louis Smith.
