He passed away peacefully at Covenant Healthcare-Cooper at a blessed age of 72 years. Floyd was born on August 28, 1953, in Leighton, Alabama.

Floyd accepted Christ and was baptized as a young man. He was a member and served as a deacon at Christ Kingdom Ministries under the leadership of his Pastor and brother, Edward L. Jackson.
