Ms. Elicia Rena Mathews passed away Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at her residence in Lansing, Michigan. Age 53 years. She was born April 17, 1966 in Detroit, Michigan. The daughter of Cecil and Louzola (Jackson) Mathews.

Elicia Mathews was raised in the Detroit, Michigan and attended the Detroit Public Schools. She and her children moved to Lansing, Michigan. She loved styling in designer clothes with the finest purses, jewelry and best perfume.

She leaves to cherish her memory 6 children; 3 sons, Cecil, Jesse, and Ricardo; 3 girls who she raised as her daughters, Shelltriest, Christina, and Dreak; 5 grandchildren, Ricardo Mathews, Ra’quown Mathews, Kalen Mathews, Kadence Mathews and Tyanna Mathews; father, Cecil Mathews;; brother, Cecil Mathews; 2 nieces, Elysa Serr and Kiah Tunissen; 3 aunts, Laretta, Chineta and Pat; 2 uncles, Doc and Charlie; 2 cousins, Crystal and Alex; many other relatives and friends including special friends, Tammy, April and Abbie.

She was predeceased by her mother, Louzola Mathews and her grandparents, Jessie May Jackson and Marion Mathews.
