Ellihue “Eddie” Jackson, Sr transitioned from this life to his Heavenly Home on Friday, April 25, 2025, at the age of 82 years. Eddie was born in Marvell, Arkansas on Wednesday, August 19, 1942, to Robert George and Ora Maxine (Johnson) Jackson, the third of eleven children.
Eddie’s family moved to Lansing, Michigan when he was young. He graduated from Lansing Eastern High School in 1960. Eddie worked and retired from the Motor Wheel Corporation. He joined the United States Army and served during the Vietnam War. He received an honorable discharge in 1969.
Eddied loved tinkering and working on cars and even if he couldn’t fix it, he would never stop trying. He took pride in his own cars. Eddie was a diehard Detroit Lions fan. He was a kind, sweet and loving person. Eddie was the son his parents could always count on for rides (in town or out-of-town). He was not just a Mamma’s boy, but he was Daddy’s boy as well.
Eddie leaves to cherish his love and memories, his beloved wife, Alma Ree Williams Jackson; a blended family of children, sons, Wendell Mark Jackson, Raymond Coats, Felix (Tiyah) Morris; daughters Stephanie (Mark) Worsham, Tabatha (Myron) Dixon and LaTosca Morris; eighteen grandchildren; brothers, Robert (Shelley) Jackson, Wilbert (Karen) Jackson, James Jackson; sisters, Queen Esther (Pastor Ronald) Perteet, Geneva (Rick) Hawthorne and Dolores (Pastor Rick, Sr.) Smith; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Eddie was preceded in death by his sons, Anthony Jackson and Ellihue Jackson, Jr.; grandchild, Shatrece Morris; his parents; siblings, Curtis Shamsiddeen, Johnnie Mae (Josh) Beasley, Milton (Martha) and Jerome Jackson.
