Doris E. Richardson was born on September 2, 1941, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, to Willie Ennis Sr. and Vethel Phillips. On May 22, 2026, she peacefully entered eternal rest surrounded by love and cherished memories.
Doris was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose kindness, strength, and beautiful spirit touched everyone who knew her.
Doris leaves to cherish precious memories: Her Son, Jerald Z. (Dejala) Richardson; siblings, Florida Love, Shirley Moland, and Willie Ennis Jr.; grandchildren, Ezellus T. Richardson-Harvey, Edward J. Richardson, Zachary A. Richardson, Jasmine A. Allen, Anfernique N. Martin, Alayzia N. Martin, Ahsjunea N. Jackson, Amonti A. Martin, and Coreyon L. Martin; great-grandchildren, Eionna M. Harvey, Emoni E. Harvey, Ezellus T. Harvey Jr., Nathaniel J. Martin, Chance A. Allen, Ezmae L. Martin, and LunaMay L. Martin; two special daughters-in-Love, Angela Allen, and Teresa Harvey and many more loved ones.
Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Z. Richardson, her sisters, Constance Ennis and Loyce Denhams, her brother, Clyde Ennis, and her great-grandson, Kaisaun D. Harvey.
Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort in knowing that Doris’s love, laughter, and legacy will live on forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
