Dhan Maya Bhujel

Dhan Maya Bhujel was born in Samchi, Bhutan. She spent 17 years in the Khudunabari refugee camp in Nepal before resettling in the United States in 2009. She lived her final years surrounded by family in Lansing, Michigan.

She is lovingly remembered by her two sons, Man Bhujel and Kalu Bhujel, along with 9 grandchildrenand 13 great-grandchildren.

She loved her tea, thukpa, chatpate, and a good beer. She was strong, resilient, and always enjoyed dressing in colorful clothes and beautiful jewelry. Her warmth, spirit, and love will be deeply missed.
