Desiree Lewis (Lansing)

Ms. Desiree Jeane Lewis passed away Saturday, December 4, 2021, in Lansing, Michigan. Age 65 years. She was born December 9, 1956, in Lansing, Michigan, the daughter of John, Jr. and Gloria Lewis.

Desiree graduate in 1975 from Lansing Everett High School. She was a retiree from the State of Michigan, Office of the Treasury, working in the registration department. Desiree loved to sing and dance. Desiree and her sister, Delaney Lewis were in many singing groups, such as Lightness in Blackness, Caution, Quiet Storm, 4 Divine, and Just Divine.

She leaves to cherish and love her memory her 2 children, Meriah Ford and Duval Hollingshed; stepson, Brandyn Hill-Scott; grandchildren, Thomon Aikens, II, Milan Aikens, and Desiree Hollingshed; sister, Lorna (Lee) McKinstry of Fremont, Ohio; 3 brothers, John Lewis, III of Fremont, Ohio, Derrick (Shannon) Lewis and Dante Lewis both of Lansing, Michigan; cousins, other relatives, and friends including special friend, Donna Kendrick.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister.
