David Gomez-Tolentino

Mr. David G. Tolentino passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, in Lansing, Michigan, at the age of 75. He was born on May 21, 1950, in Las Piedras, Puerto Rico, to his parents, Rogelio Gomez and Carmen Tolentino.

David made Lansing his home for the past 35 years. In 1990, he married the love of his life, Maria de los Ángeles Diaz-Villa, and lovingly stepped into the role of father to Maria G. Hernandez. He was a proud grandfather of five and a treasured great-grandfather to many.

He worked as a forklift operator for Ryder Logistics, where he took great pride in his work and enjoyed the camaraderie of his colleagues.

David’s memory will be cherished by his stepdaughter; Maria Guadalupe Hernandez; his grandchildren, Maricela Hernandez, Rosa Linda Hernandez (Meyer), Lidia Hernandez, Gabriel Hernandez, Anjelica Hernandez; a special bond with great-grandchild Yasmin Hernandez and so many more grandchildren and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Maria de los Ángeles Diaz-Villa, who passed away on November 12, 2000.
