David L. Duke, Sr.

Mr. David Leigh Duke, Sr. passed away on Monday, May 12, 2025, in Lansing, Michigan. Age 68 years. He was born on Wednesday, August 15, 1956, in Lansing, Michigan, the sixth child of Hershel and Mildred Duke.

David attended Lansing Public Schools, graduating from J.W. Sexton High School. David accepted Christ as his Savior at an early age at Friendship Baptist Church where he was a faithful member until his death. He served his country in the United States Air Force, receiving his Honorable Discharge. He had a sense of humor that charmed many. One of his many passions was teaching others any of his many skills and gifts.

David leaves to mourn his loss, wife, Robbin Bell-Duke; daughter, Devon Duke; son, David Duke, Jr.; stepdaughter, Brittany Tyler; stepson, James Whitfield IV; grandsons, Xzaveon Christian and Justin Duke; step grandchildren, Kevin Sampson and Karmella Fogle; sisters, Treyna Duke, Mildred Duke Cain and Sandra Duke; brother, Kenneth Duke; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

David was preceded in death by his parents, Hershel Duke, Sr. and Mildred Duke, and brothers, Herschel Duke, Jr. and Paul Andre Duke, Sr.
