Danny Washington (Lansing)

Danny Bruce Washington passed away on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at Hospice House of Mid-Michigan in Lansing, Michigan. Age 69 years. He was born on Saturday, August 13, 1955, in Wesson, Mississippi, the son of Ira, Sr. and Georgia Washington. 

Danny spent his early years in Wesson. The family later moved to Lansing, Michigan, in 1969, where he attended Harry Hill High School and graduated in 1973. Danny was affiliated with Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church. He was baptized at an early age and was a strong believer in God and Jesus Christ. Danny had several hobbies and some of them included drawing, bike riding and playing video games. He was mild mannered in character, and he was the Best Big Brother. Everyone who knows him will miss him deeply.  

The family would like to express a special thank you to Diamond Sanders for all her care and devotion. 

Danny leaves to cherish his memory, his sisters, Dorothy Washington and Wednesday (William Curtis) Ross; brothers, Michael Steel, Ira (Shirley) Washington, Jr. and Gregory (Norlyn) Washington; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends. 

Danny was preceded in death by his parents, Ira, Sr. and Georgia Washington; sisters, Margaret Jones, Ethel Owens, and Phyllis Washington.
