Dale Land, born January 21, 1948, in Tarry, Arkansas, to McKinley Land Sr. and Luecinda Curry Land, the youngest of six children, our beloved brother and uncle transitioned on July 24, 2025, at his residence in Saginaw, MI.
Dale relocated to Saginaw, MI, with his family in 1964. He graduated from Saginaw High School, “Class of 1967. Afterward, he attended Delta College. He worked briefly at the Saginaw Parts Plant and retired from Covenant Healthcare.
He was a long-time member of Christ Community Church, Reverend William D. Aldridge, currently the New Christ Community Church under the leadership of Pastor Eugene Seals Sr., MD. Dale loved reading and was an avid walker; he knew the streets of Saginaw like the back of his hand and the Saginaw Transit routes better than the drivers. There was not a location or landmark he didn’t know!
Memories will be cherished by his brother, James A. Land, Jr., and Antwain (Keta) Terry; brother-in-law, Joseph Winchester Jr.; sister-in-law, Mildred Land; uncle, Henry Land, Jr.: a host of great-nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and special friend, Atonya Patterson, Buena Vista Senior Community.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents, McKinley Land, Sr., and Luecinda Curry Land; three brothers, Melvin Charles (M.C.) Land, McKinley (Pearline) Land, Jr., and Willie Land; sister, Virginia Winchester; aunt, Marie Moten; niece, Mary Ann Land; nephews, Willie Hogan, Jr., Roy Land, Terry Land, Dallas Jones, and Charles Land.
