Mrs. Cleo Patrick Henderson passed away on Sunday, December 14, 2025, at Covenant Healthcare Cooper. Age 95 years. She was born on December 30, 1929, in Kiblah, Arkansas, to Champion and Evelyn Stuckey and stepmother, Mildred Stuckey.
Cleo graduated from Kiblah High School in 1947 and later married Ernest Henderson in 1952. They moved to Michigan in 1953 and joined Bethel A.M.E. Church. She was employed as a cook at the Historic Schuch Hotel on Hamilton Street for many years.
Cleo enjoyed gardening, cooking, making quilts, doing crossword puzzles, watching soap operas, basketball, wrestling, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Cleo was loving, knowledgeable, trustworthy, caring, family-oriented, and a great cook.
Cleo leaves to cherish her memory one daughter, Malinda Henderson; two sons, Morris Henderson and Winfred (Shannon) Henderson; three sisters, Barbara Wiggins, Joyce Reid, and Winnie Stuckey; four brothers, Calvin (Elaine) Stuckey, William Stuckey, Thomas (Sandra) Stuckey, and Theodore Stuckey; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; many other relatives and friends including, Iola Terry and Amelia Genwright.
Cleo was preceded in death by her parents, Champion and Evelyn Stuckey, and her stepmother, Mildred Stuckey; husband, Ernest Henderson; three daughters, Ernestine, Christine, and Amanda Henderson; two brothers, Morris Stuckey, and Willis Stuckey, Sr.; two sisters, Marjorie Patton, and Clara Barnes; sister-in-law, Juanita Stuckey; and cousins, James Stuckey, Sr.
