“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” – 2 Timothy 4:7

In Loving Memory, we celebrate the life and spirit of Claude L. Vaughn Jr., who entered eternal rest on October 5, 2026.

Claude was born May 18, 1949, in Clarksville, Arkansas, to the late Claude L. Vaughn Sr. and Loucille Hurd Vaughn. He grew up in Arkansas, where he attended Pine Bluff College before making Michigan his permanent home in 1970. Settling into his new chapter, Claude began a career with General Motors. He dedicated 36 years of hard work and faithful service before his well-earned retirement. On August 28, 1971, Claude was united in marriage with Eva C. Orr. Together, they raised a strong family and shared more than five decades together. Their union was blessed with three sons.

Claude was known for being real and plain-spoken, Claude was never one to hold his tongue – you always knew where you stood with him, and his honest spirit was deeply respected. He found joy in life’s simple pleasures. Claude loved to be in his truck, keeping busy scraping, and staying active. He also enjoyed playing his numbers and dreaming about hitting that big one.
