Christine Klingsten

Christine Marie (Clay) Klingsten, born February 6, 1966, passed away on August 8, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love that will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew her.

Christine loved her family fiercely. Her husband and children were her world, and she devoted herself fully to caring for and protecting them. She had a gift for making others feel loved, comforted, and never alone. In life’s hardest moments, she had a quiet strength that could ease pain—offering comfort through her words, her laughter, or simply her presence.

Christine’s life was also deeply rooted in her unwavering faith in Christ. She carried a strong and undying belief in God’s love and promises, and that faith guided her through every season of life. It was a source of her strength, her peace, and her hope, and it shone through in the way she loved and cared for others. Those who knew her take comfort in knowing her faith has now become sight, and that she rests in the eternal peace of her Savior.

Her smile and laughter were unforgettable, able to brighten even the darkest days. Christine shared her joy freely, creating countless memories filled with warmth, love, and laughter that will be cherished always.

She also had a creative and generous spirit. Christine loved to craft and found joy in making handmade treasures for the people she loved. Each creation carried a piece of her heart—a tangible reminder of the love she put into everything she did.

Christine’s kindness left a lasting impact on everyone she met. She had a way of lifting others up, offering comfort, and surrounding people with a sense of softness and love. The care she gave so freely will remain with all who were fortunate enough to know her.

She leaves behind her children Misty (Valentin) Medrea, Meaghan (Shawn) Ashurst, Michelle Major, and Rebecca Klingsten; grandchildren, Hailey Bergum, Collin Ashurst, Joslyn Lauderbaugh, Tyler Ashurst, Malia Steiner, Landyn Steiner, and Mihaela Medrea; brother, Michael (Vicki) Clay; niece, Danielle Clay; nephew, Dustin Clay; many cousins; mother-in-law, Mary Klingsten; and brothers-in-law, James (Barbara) Klingsten and Robert (Jane) Klingsten. All of whom will miss her beyond words.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Klingsten; parents, Daniel and Lylliss Clay; brother, Mark Clay; and father-in-law, Bud Klingsten.

The family would like to express special thanks to Cheryl Hicks, Beth Christopher, and Doris Durham for being there when she needed them most.

Christine’s absence will be felt in quiet moments, in shared laughter, in family traditions, and in the everyday reminders of her love.

Though our hearts are broken, we are grateful for the time we had with her—for her laughter, her hugs, her handmade gifts, her steadfast faith, and the love she gave so effortlessly.

Christine will be deeply missed, endlessly loved, and never forgotten. Her love and her faith continue to live on in all of us.
