Charlie Bernard Macon, Sr.

Mr. Charlie Bernard Macon, Sr., passed away on Friday, October 17, 2025, at Covenant Cooper Hospital, Saginaw, Michigan. Age 85 years. Charlie was born May 19, 1940, in Winston County in Louisville, Mississippi, to Clotile Headd Macon and Charlie Bernard Macon, Sr.

Charlie was employed as a welder. He was a family man who loved spending time with his grandchildren. He loved to shop and dress. He enjoyed sitting by the water, listening to good music, and dancing. Charlie’s favorite food was rice and gravy. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Charlie leaves to cherish his memory his five daughters, Laura Whitfield, Denise Lister, Levorn Macon, Yvonne Macon, and Becky Howard; six sons, Charlie Macon, Jr., and Keel Macon, 4 other sons, named Charles Macon; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren; sisters, Versie Burrage, Delois Macon, Hiewese Bellamy, Shirley Macon Roberts; brothers; McArthur Macon, Allen Macon, Charles Macon, Howard Macon, Charlie B Macon; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins; sister-in-law, Cora Macon; many other relative and friends including his special daughter-in-law, Sylvia Macon.

Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, Clotile Headd Macon and Charlie Bernard Macon, Sr.
