Mr. Bobbie Dawson entered into this life on June 14, 1949, in Warrenton, Georgia, the son of Mattie and Wesley Dawson. Bobbie was a husband, loving father, brother, grandfather, uncle, and friend.
Upon relocating to Michigan, Bobbie united with Historic Second Baptist Church where he served as a deacon, usher, and bus driver. Later, he joined Gethsemane Baptist Church, where he continued to serve in the same ministries. Bobbie was employed as a gas lineman at Consumers Power for over 30 years before retiring. He loved decorating his home during the holidays, and he enjoyed watching wrestling, especially WWE. Bobbie moved back to Georgia where he was a member and deacon at Williams Grove Baptist Church. Most of all, Bobbie loved spending time with his family and friends. He will be greatly missed.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of twenty-seven years, Tina Dawson of Bay City, Michigan; children: Patricia Dawson, Robert Dawson, Schazell (Brooks) Dawson, Keith Dawson, Kizzie (David) Redfern, Tawnie (Odet) Augustin, Joseph Dawson, Alisia Kyllonen (Jason), Katrina (Don) Johnson, Caleb Dawson, Taylor Boshaw, and Arianna Bates; many grandchildren, great and great-great-grandchildren; sisters: Edith Dawson, Dorothy Clemens, Mary Dawson, Evelyn Parker, and Shirley Williams; brother, Nathaniel Dawson; five sisters-in-law; four brothers-in-law; Bobbie is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends including special friend, Ray Pinkston.
Mr. Dawson was preceded in death by his parents, Maddie and Wesley Dawson; sisters, Shirley Hunt and Dorestha Lewis; brothers, Eddie Dawson, John Henry Stanford; mother-in-law, Hattie Sisson; brothers-in-law, Gerald Sisson, and Johnny Murphy.
Our Heavenly Father called Bobbie to his final rest on Wednesday, June 3, 2026.
