Blaine LaVelle Youngblood

My son, Blaine LaVelle Youngblood, passed quietly into eternal life on Sunday, September 21, 2025, at the age of 62 years. He was born on September 21, 1963, in Lima, Ohio, to John Youngblood and Joyce Cook.

Blaine had his birthday party in Heaven this year, with God’s angels and all of his family and friends who had gone on before him! Can you imagine the party? He had a hallelujah good time! Blaine will be remembered as a loving son, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, uncle, brother, cousin, and friend. He will also be remembered by his best friends, Calvin Page, Willie Shaw, Brandel Price, and his cousin, James Cook, who was like a brother.

Blaine enjoyed fishing, gardening, playing dominoes and cards, watching westerns, riding his bike, and watching his favorite sitcom, Sanford and Son. He also loved spending time with his family and friends. Blaine will be greatly missed by family and friends who loved him dearly.

Blaine leaves to cherish loving memories his mother, Joyce Toney; son, Keith Roby; sisters, Dorothy Williams, Belinda Beck, and Monique Toney; grandchildren, Chardaney Houston, MarKeith Roby, Shon Fellmen, Layla Hernandez, Shernice Moore, A’Vannist Houston, Vondell Houston, and Tysha Martin; great-grandchildren, Tremell Harper and Nasya Marr.

Blaine was preceded in death by his father, John Youngblood, Jr.; grandfathers, John Youngblood, Sr., and Nathaniel Cook; grandmothers, Mary Cook and Louise Youngblood; one daughter, Vontysha Houston-Martin; grandson, Delano Martin, Jr.; his brother, Manison Toney, Sr., and nephew, Larry D. Toney.

The family would like to express special thanks to Pastor Christopher V. Pryor, Elder Shawn Bivens, Sr., Mother Barbara Sane, and Victorious Believers Ministries church family for the love, support, and prayers during our bereavement.
