Mrs. Billie Sue Hardy moved from labor to reward on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at University of Michigan Health - Sparrow in Lansing, Michigan. Age 85 years. She was born on Sunday, February 9, 1941, in Rome, Georgia, the youngest daughter of William and Ethel Tant.
Billie and her family moved to Harrison, Michigan while she was growing up and her family planted deep roots in the community. She met and married Richard Blumerich, together raising their 5 daughters and 5 sons. Billie eventually moved to Lansing, Michigan. She retired from Ingham Regional Visiting Nurse. Billie was an active member of Faith Fellowship Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Stan Parker. She served in several ministries including as Church Mother, a position of honor while sharing her faith and wisdom with the congregation. Billie’s greatest passion was being a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories her children, Irene (John, “Kenny”) Melton, Pamela Blumerich, Christopher (Kari) Tant, Rick (Missy) Blumerich, Paul “Keven” Blumerich, and Steven (Valerie) Blumerich; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; niece, Gwen (Carl) Smith; several cousins, other relatives including Pastor Stan Parker and her Faith Fellowship Baptist Church family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Raymond Blumerich; children, Theresa Blumerich, Kay Blumerich, Dianne Blumerich, and Timothy Blumerich; her parents, and sister Shirley Darling.
