Betty J. Brooks

Ms. Betty Jane Brooks passed away on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at Avista Nursing & Rehab in Saginaw, Michigan. Age 69 years. She was born on November 24, 1955, in Saginaw, Michigan, to Ruben and Estell Brooks.

Betty was a lifelong resident of Saginaw, Michigan, and was part of a large, close-knit family. She was educated in Saginaw Public Schools and later received certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA). In her leisure time, Betty enjoyed music, playing cards, sewing and crocheting, and going fishing. She loved having a good time with family and friends. Betty will be dearly missed.

She leaves to cherish loving memories four sisters, Doris A. Brooks, Roseane M. Brooks, Mary L. (Charlie) Sanders, and Donna Brooks, all of Saginaw, Michigan; five brothers, Jimmy (Pam) Brooks of Lima, Ohio, Ruben (Richelle) Brooks, Saginaw, Michigan, Darnell (Sandra) Brooks, Loris, South Carolina, John Brooks and Wesley Brooks both of Saginaw, Michigan; Betty Jane also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins whom she loved very much, and her best friend, Doris Brown.

Betty Jane was preceded in death by her  parents, Ruben and Estell Brooks; sisters, Gloria Brooks and Beverly Stephenson; brothers, Robert and David Brooks; niece, Kaytrina Brooks, and nephew, Robert Lee Rogers.
