Mrs. Apolonia Rosas, also known as “Pola”, transitioned on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, in St, Louis Michigan, surrounded by her family and loved ones. Age 69 years. She was born on Tuesday, June 4, 1957, in Alice, Texas to parents, Celestino and Leonor Silva.

Paula loved her family and cooking; cooking was certainly her love language. When she was in the kitchen you moved out of the way as this was her territory! And she only used Hunt’s tomato sauce for her Mexican rice. She loved spending time with her grandchildren; a true light in her life! She was feisty, strong-minded and a jokester.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Gilberto Rosas; son, Gilbert Silva (Alicia) Rosas; daughters, Erica (Louie) Rosas, Jessica (William) Balzer, Leonor (Uriel) Rosas and Gena (Jason) Suarez; grandchildren, Josie, Jacelle (Dacotta), Gilbert (Mya), Alex, Andy, Jimmie, Jana, Jacob, Skye, Veronica, Ray, William Jr., Oriya, Emilio, Walter Jr. and Jason Jr.; 6 sisters, Rosalinda, AnneLee (Richard), Zulema, Norma (Javier), Linda (Rolondo), and Reyna (Geyel); 6 brothers, Celestino (Celia), Delmiro (Lamar), Felix, David (Noemi), Raul (Penny) and Alejandro; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, great grandchildren and other relatives and friends including special friend, Eugene Rodriguez.

She was preceded in death by her son, Ricky; parents; sister, Betty; brothers, Robert and Rito; sister-in-law, Chris; niece, Annamarie, and nephew, Lupe.
