Our beloved father, grandfather, and brother Anthony Tyrone Snow was born Monday, September 13, 1965, to James and Norma Jean Snow in Kosciusko, Mississippi. He went home to be with the Lord on Monday, April 8, 2024, in Detroit, Michigan.
As a child Anthony, moved to Saginaw, Michigan with his family. He graduated from Saginaw High School. He worked for the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Saginaw for several years. Most recently Anthony resided in Maristee, Michigan. He accepted Christ and enjoyed reading his Bible and listening to gospel music.
Anthony was known to many as Carp and affectionately called Pretty Tony by his daughters. He was a family man who loved his family more than anything, he loved talking to family and friends. He enjoyed listening to music; he often called family and quizzed them on who sang what song. He was a people person who had a contagious smile.
He could strike up a conversation with anyone, make them laugh, and leave them with a positive word. He loved sports which led him to coaching little league games. He was excited when his granddaughter participated in sports and enjoyed coaching her. Anthony enjoyed road trips and took several of them to visit family in Mississippi. He was a positive soul who loved to have fun.
Anthony leaves to cherish his memory his loving daughters: Crystal Shaw and Michelle Carpenter, granddaughter Justice Smith-Barton, brother Kelvin Carpenter, sisters: Cheryl Carpenter and Mary Snow and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents James and Norma Snow, granddaughter Blessence Gilchrist, sister Silvia But, and brother Michael Carpenter, grandparents: Houston and Mary Snow, James (Etta) Hall and Rosie Lee (Edward) Brantley.
Mr. Anthony Tyrone Snow Carpenter passed away Monday, April 8, 2024, at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. Age 58 years. Anthony was born September 13, 1965, in Kosciusko, Mississippi, to James and Norma Jean Snow.
Anthony was known to many as “Carp,” affectionately known as “Pretty Tony” by his children. He was a resident of Saginaw, Michigan, and attended Saginaw High School. Anthony was a family man who loved his family more than anything. He was a people person, always striking up a conversation and making people laugh. His smile was contagious. Anthony always left you with a positive word. He loved sports and coaching Little League games. He loved music and loved to travel and be on the road. He was just a positive soul, who loved to have fun.

Anthony was preceded in death by his parents, James and Norma Jean Snow; sister, Sylvia Burt; brother, Michael Carpenter; granddaughter, Blessence Gilchrist; grandparents, Houston and Mary Snow, James Hall, and Rosie Lee Brantley.
