Alma C. Wyatt

Ms. Alma C. Wyatt passed away Saturday, June 20, 2026, at Saginaw Senior Care in Saginaw, Michigan. Age 83 years. Alma was born on March 9, 1943, in Monroe, Louisiana, moving to Saginaw, Michigan, with family at the age of 4 years. She lived a life defined by faith, service, love, and devotion to family and community.

Alma graduated from Saginaw High School and Saginaw Business Institute. She attended and was stayed on the Dean's list at Delta College. Alma went on to build a distinguished career as a bank branch manager at First Savings and Loan. Throughout her life, Alma was deeply committed to serving others, working extensively in community service, and serving as Director of Disaster Relief for the American Red Cross. She also served as an honorary board member with Child and Family Service of Saginaw and was an active participant in the PACE program. 

A woman of unwavering faith, Alma was a devoted member of Mount Olive Institutional Missionary Baptist Church, where her love for God and the church was evident to all who knew her. Her faith was the foundation of her life, guiding her compassionate spirit and dedication to helping others.

Alma embraced life with joy and enthusiasm. She had a passion for fashion and always carried herself with grace and style. She loved traveling, cooking delicious meals, entertaining family and friends, sharing laughter through jokes, and playfully scaring her siblings—creating cherished memories that will live on forever, evidenced by the countless photographs she took and placed in albums to be preserved over the years to come.  

Above all, Alma treasured her family. She leaves to cherish her loving memory two sons, Tyrone D. Clay, and Telvin D. Wyatt; bonus daughter and son, Martha, and Joe Wyatt, Jr.; three grandchildren, Quintoia Wyatt, Anita Hunter, and Eric Wyatt; six great-grandchildren, A'Lante, Ayania, Ajaye, Moses, Eric Jr., and Selena; three sisters, Waddie (Leroy) Cook, Cynthia Ruth, and Janice Salter; three brothers, Reverend Vernor (Sherry) Clay, Fred C. Clay, Jr., and Minister Daniel Clay; a host of beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and many dear friends; godchildren, Terri Clay, Valarie Robinson, and Eddie Jones; two special neighbors, Ann Lowery and Kathy Owens, including lifelong friends, Shirley Norman, Rosie Diggs, Marie Beasley, Florence Hall, and others too numerous to list. 

Alma was preceded in death by her parents, Deacon Fred C. Sr. (Mabel) Clay; grandmother, Almetta Green; one sister, Delsie "Pat" Yarbrough; three brothers, Floyd Broadnax, James Clay, and Gregory Clay; godparents, RT and Verna Thomas; lifelong friend, Verta Boulware; and many aunts and uncles.

Alma's legacy of faith, service, love, and laughter will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know her. She will be loved always, deeply missed. and forever remembered.
