May 27, 1974 — May 24, 2025

Lansing

Agustina Paran Quimba, lovingly known as Tina or Bheng, passed away peacefully on May 24, 2025, at her home in Lansing, Michigan, surrounded by the love of her devoted family. Tina was 50 years old. She was born on May 27, 1974, in Maragusan, Davao de Oro, Philippines, to Gavina and Gervacio Sr. Quimba.

Tina devoted her life to caring for others, both personally and professionally. She earned her certification as a Nursing Assistant and served patients at Burcham Hills in East Lansing and Sparrow Hospital in Lansing. She also received certification as a Hemodialysis Technician and worked for Fresenius Medical Care.

Tina was immensely proud of her accomplishments and carried a deep sense of compassion for her patients. Providing for her family was her greatest motivation. For many years, she worked abroad as a caregiver in Hong Kong, Singapore, and Japan, always with the goal of building a better life for those she loved. In 2010, Tina immigrated to the United States and, through perseverance and dedication, was able to reunite her immediate family, helping them transition into a new life and culture.

Tina had a zest for life. She found joy in music, gardening, traveling, road trips, shopping, and especially cooking. Her kitchen was a place of warmth, where she lovingly prepared meals for her family and friends. Whether hosting holidays, birthdays, or casual get-togethers, Tina made every occasion feel special. Despite her love for gatherings, she had a rare gift for connecting with people one-on-one, always making others feel uniquely seen and valued. Her beautiful voice and love for karaoke brought laughter and light to all who knew her.

She is survived by her children: Daenie (Sem) Abadiez, Danny (Kristan) Quimba, and Debbie (Logan) Brooks; her grandchildren: Sean and Thaddeus; her brothers: Allan, Gervacio Jr., and Raymond; and her sisters: Genevib, Francis Jane, and Jocelyn. She was preceded in death by her beloved granddaughter, Kate.

A celebration of Tina’s life will be held on Sunday, July 6, 2025, 2:00 PM at Motz Park in St. Johns, Michigan.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to Elara Caring Hospice, friends, extended family, members of UChurch, and Pastor Jermaine Gayle for the emotional and spiritual support offered during this difficult time. Final arrangements are entrusted to Paradise Funeral Chapel & Arrangement Services.
