Zayon Vontreze Young

Baby Zay was granted his angel wings on Saturday, August 13, 2011. His final hours were spent surrounded by beloved family and friends who Zayon touched in some small way throughout his very short, yet memorable life.
Zayon V. Young was born on Saturday, August 13, 2011 at Covenant HealthCare in Saginaw, Michigan to Zakyia Young.
Zayon's life would seem too short to many, but those who were touched by him understood that there is a time and season for everything. His gentle smile, tiny fingers and baby soft skin brought so much joy to our family and friends for a few hours.
Although he was so tiny, he gave us all such courage and hope and reminded us of the preciousness of life. He showed us that nothing is certain in this life, but we must seek to know how to love, respect and allow forgiveness to penetrate, saturate and marinate our hearts.
Zayon is survived by his loving mother, Zakyia Victoria Young; grandparents, Inez Williams and Jimmie Young; great grandmother, Katherine Young; uncles, Sundiata Young, Jimmie Young Jr., Justin Tanouye and Tavarres Young; aunts, Tahitian Young, Kalena Young, Tiara Young and Alexis Young; great aunts, Dr. Sheila Wilkins, Carmen (Jerome) Witherspoon, Sharlotte Green, Sheri Hawkins, Serina Craten, Patricia Kariem, Estella Young, Abbey Young, Reginna (Kenny) Haynes, and Ella Williams; great uncles Pastor Sammy (Ida) Williams, Aaron Young, Gerald Kariem, Ellis Williams, Joseph Young Jr., Dennis Craten and Robert (Nedra) Williams Jr.; two beloved cousins Tradarionna Rodger and Sa'Myria Young; four godmothers, Sakara Booth, Domiqunice Young, Ivey Taylor and Betty Bell; special cousins, Robert (Jeanett) Williams III, Debra (Tim) Bandy, Jacqueline (Alex) Williams, Wakyia Wilkins, Wanjoria Wilkins, Khalilah Garrett and Tatyana Young, many other loving family members and friends. Zayon was preceded in death by his great grandfather, Joseph Young Sr.; great grandmother, Evangelist Martha Emerson, aunt Dora Drain and uncle Lavern Craten.
