Willie Bracey, Jr.

June 30, 1952 — May 6, 2020

Mr. Willie Rob Bracey, Jr. finished his life’s work on Wednesday, May 6, 2020 at the age of 67 years. He was born June 30, 1952 in Bishopville, South Carolina, the son of Willie Rob Sr. and Mary M. Bracey.

Willie attended Arthur Hill Technical High School and graduated “Class of 1970”. After graduation, he became employed with General Motors Corporation as a machine operator. He worked diligently for over thirty-seven years before retirement.

In his spare time, Willie enjoyed gardening, fishing and traveling. He was a God-fearing man and always purposefully put God first in everything he set out to do. He was a hard worker and a family man. He was very dedicated to his wife, children and grandchildren. Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend has ceased from his labor and is now at rest. We will see you in the morning.

Willie was preceded in death by his father, Willie Rob Bracey, Sr.; father-in-law, William Wood; niece, Shaya Bryant; nephew, Lonnie Wood Jr.; aunts, Lizzie Mae Reames, Arda Bell Mayfield; uncles, Samuel L., Leroy, Levi, Leo, James Edward, Isiah Bracey, Thomas Brown, Morris Ryan, Lucius Mayfield, Wilton Scott; brothers-in-law, Timothy Bryant, Larry Wood.

He leaves to celebrate his life his wife, Diana Bracey; children, Michelle Denise Davis, Courtney Alexandria Bracey, both of Saginaw, Michigan, Willie Rob Bracey III, Phoenix, Arizona, Jarrod Theodore Bracey, Los Angeles, California, Jarrell Nathaniel Bracey, Saginaw, Michigan; mother, Mary M. Bracey; grandchildren, Dietrich Davis, Michayla Davis, Miah Davis, Decorion McCrary, Zariya McCrary, Cameron Cummings; sisters, Mary E. (Henderson) Foster, Bobbie A. (Alfonso) Gissendanner, Sandra (Willie) Byrd; brothers, Terry (April) Bracey, Jacksonville, Florida, Jerry (Linda) Bracey, Kentwood, Michigan; twelve nieces; eleven nephews; aunts, Alice Brown, Martha Scott, Evergreen Griffin, Angie Ryans, Isabella Jackson; uncle, Eugene (Marilyn) Bracey; mother-in-law, Elnora Wood; brothers-in-law, Lonnie and Kevin (Lesley) Wood; sisters-in-law, Regina Wood, Vera Chachere; many other relatives and friends, including best friend, Robert Earl Thomas.
