Mr. Willie B. Moore III passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at James E. Cartwright Hospice Center. Age 60 years. He was born March 3, 1954 in Tippo, Mississippi to Dorothy Ware and Walter Moore Sr.
Willie attended Delta College where he majored in Welding. He was an assistant school teacher at Manley High School in Chicago, Illinois. Willie also worked for General Motors Malibu Iron Foundry and Michigan Sugar. He was a faithful member of Emmanuel Church of Deliverance under the leadership of Pastor Purvis Carter. He enjoyed fishing, watching westerns and basketball. Willies favorite movie was the Ten Commandments. He loved spending time with his family. Willie was a very loving person who was also a great comedian. His presence will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He leaves to cherish his memory three daughters, Angela Snead, Nikka Washington and Sharmise Snead; three grandchildren, Marshall Clayton, Jazziona Engram and Malcolm Snead; great-grandchildren, Sharova and Sharia Scott; three brothers, Walter Moore, Nathaniel Ramsey and Robert (Wanda) Ramsey; seven nieces, Cassandra Donald, Stephanie (Demarcus) Marlow, Dorothy (Brian) Luken, Nacole Beemon, Victoria Beemon, Dorothy Crutcher and Santana Moore; eight nephews, Telifaro (Amy) Reynolds, Robert (Shenniqua) Ramsey, Marcus (Shafeka) Ramsey, Derrick Sparks, Demetrius Beemon, Nathaniel Ramsey, Jamon Henson and Delano Henson; two aunts, Catherine Young and Cora Lee Swearengen; several cousins including Denise (John) Hudson, Corine Mitchner, James, Jason (Jackie) and Jarvis Young; four sisters-in-law, Selina (Carl) May, Barbara (Terry) Gulley, Phyllis Chapman and Patricia (Clive) Cadle; one brother-in-law, J.W. Johnson; many other relatives and friends including his special friends, Michael Lay, JoJo of Chicago, Illinois, Noel Nerio Porkey, Frank Mejia, Emerson L. Owens, Zipporah and Rufus Jackson.
Willie was preceded in death by his wife, Lisa Johnson-Moore, mother and stepfather, Dorothy and Oliver Ware, father, Walter Moore Sr. and Freddy Moore.
The family wishes to express special thanks to Dr. Eugene Seals, Dr. Ernie Balcueva, Wellspring Lutheran Services and the staff of James E. Cartwright Center.
