William Earl Roby

Mr. William Earl Roby was born April 6, 1956 in Sallas, Mississippi to Joe Sr. and Annie Roby. He passed away on Monday, December 23, 2019 at the age of 63 years.

William was a United States veteran that served faithfully in the U.S. Army. In his spare time, he loved playing cards (Deuces Wild) and listening to his old music. His favorite song was A Change is Gonna Come by Sam Cooke. He also enjoyed taking care of his yard, fishing, cooking and talking junk.

More than anything, William loved being around his family. He truly loved his children, Shameka, Lil Earl and Cordell and his grandchildren. He had a special love for Jasmine, Cordell Jr., Lauren, Legacy and Cahri. They got on his nerves, but he loved them fiercely. William also enjoyed the company of his brothers and sisters. Anytime they were together, you knew it was gonna be a good time.

William was preceded in death by his parents, Joe Sr. and Annie Roby; grandparents, Oliver and Maggie Roby, George and Dora Cotton; brothers, Willie, Alvin, Joe Jr. and Lassef Roby; stepson, Ronell Frazier; nephews, Tyrie and Michael Roby.

He leaves to cherish his memory three children, Shameka Lane, William Earl Roby-Frazier, Jr., Cordell Lamont Roby-Frazier; stepchildren, Melvin, Tasha, Roslyn Frazier; five grandchildren; sisters, Annie Mallette, Leslie (Eugene) Flowers, Terisa (Andre) Lewis, Maggie Roby-Davis, Annie D. Roby; brothers, John and Paul Roby; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends, including special friends, James Mason, Michael Phillips.
