William Earl Bonds (Lansing)

William Earl Bonds went to be with the Lord on Monday, June 15, 2020 in Lansing, Michigan. Age 74 years. He was born in Memphis, Tennessee on February 11, 1946. He was the last of five children born to the union of Solomon Bonds, Sr. and Minnie (Wilkerson) Bonds. William came from a loving family. He accepted and loved the Lord our God. William attended Memphis public schools until relocating to Lansing, Michigan where he completed his education in the Lansing Public School District.

William was employed by Bob Evans Restaurant from which he retired. Sunshine was in his smile and kindness was in his heart. He loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews and “hanging out” with his friends, in person or by phone.

He is survived by his daughter, Cheryl Lynn (Huvairo) Bush; son, William Lamont Bonds; four granddaughters, Monique Bonds, Breonna Bonds, Bria Bush and Niya Bush; three grandsons, Jordan Bonds, Demarcus Bonds and Emeer Bush; seven great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Jackie Bonds; brother-in-law, Rochelle Price, Jr.; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends, Harvin Stedom Allen, Otis Banks, Larry Benson, Billie Maxine Bonds, Carolyn Grace, Katie Marsh, and Pat Nicholson.

William was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Bettye Watson and Peggie Price; brothers, Solomon Bonds, Jr. and Jessie Bonds, Sr.; niece, Debra Davis; nephew, Jessie Bonds, Jr.; and brother-in-law, Roosevelt Watson, Jr.

You are loved and meant so much to so many. You left behind a trail of tears from us all. You had so much sunshine in your smile and kindness in your heart. You were called to Glory way way to early…And separated from our bodies but NEVER from our hearts..You were so wonderful, words can’t convey how much…If only you were still here, so that we could hold you near. We love you Dad
