Vivian Elayne Feagin went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at her residence. Age 62 years. She was born September 25, 1950 in Saginaw, Michigan to Reverend and Mrs. E.L. Brown.
Vivian was a 1968 graduate of Buena Vista High School. She worked for Ameritech as an operator/supervisor for many years. She retired after 25 years of service. Vivian was a member of United Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor emeritus Brown for many years. She also worshipped under the leadership of Pastor Dale Tatum, her current pastor. There she was a dedicated and faithful servant until her health failed her. Vivian loved to travel and sing in the church choir. She was an advocate and supporter of breast cancer awareness. Vivian was a sweet, genuine, caring woman that will be greatly missed by many. In the words of her granddaughter Kandace, "she was a wonderful woman".
A sweet angel has gone to heaven. Her family and honesty meant the world to her.
She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Will J. Feagin; one daughter, Stacey Davies-Feagin (Rod), Las Vegas, Nevada; one son, Jason Feagin, Saginaw, Michigan; one step-daughter, Badriyyah Wazeerud-Din (Malik) Alston, Detroit, Michigan; two grandchildren, Kandace Davies, Las Vegas, Nevada, Tavario Feagin, Columbus, Ohio; three godchildren, Corielle Johnson, Misharita Holt and Jaleeah Grice; parents, Reverend Earnest and Ethel Mae Brown; three sisters, Cosetta Henley, Amanda (Wade) Cashaw, Jacqueline (James) Thomas; two brothers, Phillip and Olee Brown; four aunts, Carrie (Henry) Hines, Ethel M. Drain, Beatrice Wright, Octavia Middlebrook; two uncles, James (Mary) Brown, Pastor Arthur Brown; three sisters-in-law, Sarah Youngblood, Lula McClendon, Essie Blackmon; three brothers-in-law, Johnnie (Betty) Williams, Henry Feagin, Jessie (Fronnie) Garner; many other family members and friends too numerous to count including special friends, Diane (Fred) Welch, Veronica (Robert) Grice, Jeanette Howard, Darris Bracey and Ruby Vaughn.
Vivian was preceded in death by one brother, Timothy Brown, mother-in-law, Lugene Williams, Father-in-law, Jimmy Feagin, sisters-in-law, Mae Harris, Essie Underwood and Norma Lucus, brother-in-law, Wayne Feagin.
The family would like to express special thanks to Fresenius Medical Care, Heartland Hospice Care, Dr. C. Szilagy, Dr. Atri, Pastor Dale Tatum and the United Missionary Baptist Church family. Sincere gratitude to all of you for your prayers, hugs, kind words, flowers and all expressions of love during our time of bereavement.
