Victor Cornel Calhoun (Lansing)

Mr. Victor Cornel Calhoun passed away Sunday, November 3, 2019 in Evergreen, Alabama. Age 56 years. He was born on May 9, 1963, son of Clemson Calhoun, Jr. and the late Delores Elizabeth White Calhoun.

Victor attended the Lansing School District, graduating from Lansing Everett High School in 1981. He worked at the family business, Calhoun’s Carry-out in Lansing after school. Victor attended Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti, Michigan in 1982; and Lansing Community College in 1984-1985. He relocated to Alabama, and was employed by Umja Entertainment Production; Universal of Boxing Council in Mobile, Alabama; Battle Zone Global Sports Network and Good Morning Entertainment LLC. His hobbies included coaching, cooking, keeping up with technology and looking for new adventures and becoming rich.

Victor married Jessie Mae Lee-Calhoun on July 4, 2007 in Evergreen, Alabama. There were no children born to this union.

Victor leaves to cherish his memory his father and stepmother, Clemson Calhoun, Jr. and Barbara Calhoun of Lansing, Michigan; two daughters, Dominique Holman, Leander, Texas and Paris Allen, Pfluggerville, Texas; son, Christopher (Courtney) Routley, Wareham, Mississippi; one brother, Arthur (Toni) Calhoun of Antioch, Tennessee, four grandsons, L’Trell Reese, Kamauri Holman, Zephaniah Franks of LeAnder, Texas and Gabriel Routley, Wareham, Massechuetts; two nephews; 6 aunts, 6 uncles, many cousins including two special cousins that he shared a special brotherly bond, Earnest Tisdale of Lansing, Michigan and Bernadette Boglin, Atlanta, Georgia; many other relatives and friends especially best friend, Kenneth Wilson, Lansing, Michigan.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Delores Elizabeth White-Calhoun; granddaughter, Payton Pollard; three aunts, Eunice DeMyers Calhoun, Velma Johnson and Edna Swain.
