Vickie Vinita Walker Conner on June 28, 2019 was welcomed Home by her parents Clomas and Ernestine Walker with her son, Jonathan Conner by her side. She made her transition at the McLaren Greater Lansing Campus. She was 63 years old. She was born May 13, 1956 in Mason, Tennessee.
Vickie accepted Christ at an early age. She attended school in the Lansing School District and graduated from Lansing Eastern High School in 1974. Vickie was employed for 42 years by the State of Michigan at the time of her passing. She was sharp with her tongue and was no stranger to those she met. Vickie loved watching the Lifetime Channel, Family Feud and Judge Judy. She also made a mean banana pudding and a delicious pot roast. She also enjoyed gardening, shopping and spending time with her family.
She leaves to lovingly cherish her memory her one and only son, Jonathan Conner; grandchildren, Jada, Aleecia, Kayleigh, Kaedon and Savannah; sister, Sheila Walker; brothers, Edward Walker and Derrick (Bernadette) Walker; two nieces, Sadie and Deressa; nephew, Derrick, Jr.; four aunts, Katherine (Ocie) Middlebrook, Maxine Walker, all of Lansing, Verniece Walker of Mississippi, and Margaret Lauderdale of Ohio; uncle, Homer (Bertha) Walker; sisters-in-Christ, Geneva Hawthorn and Osheia Goins, many other relatives, friends and coworkers.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clomas and Ernestine Walker and her grandparents.
