Vernice Thomas

Vernice Chrene Thomas passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at Covenant Healthcare-Cooper. Age 40 years. She was the tenth child of eleven born January 4, 1974 in Kankakee, Illinois to Vida Mae and Edward Thomas Sr.
Vernice was a very passionate, giving and affectionate person who loved her family and friends. She was a devoted daughter, mother, sister and aunt who was loved by many. Her presence will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She leaves to cherish her precious memory her children, Dre and Anna; one grandson, Josiah Elijah Thomas; sisters, Gwen, Debbie, Renee, Sheila, Venita, Rose, Freda and Tywon; brothers, Venus Sondray, Eric and Nelon; twenty-nine nieces and nephews; many other relatives and friends including a special friend, Willis Jones.
Vernice was preceded in death by her mother, Vida Mae Thomas, grandparents, Johnny Jones, Alnetta (Jones) Williams, Plas Thomas and Rosalee Thomas, one brother, Edward Thomas Jr., one nephew, James Cecil Pearson.
