Tynnetta Qawwee (Lansing)

March 25, 1969 — May 3, 2022

Tynnetta Qawwee was born on March 25, 1969, in Lansing, Michigan, to Muhammad A. Qawwee and Linda A. Walker.  Tynnetta, while growing up in Lansing, attended Everett High school. She continued her post-high school education at Ferris State University and later transferred to Eastern Michigan University. Tynnetta began her service in the United States Army in 1987.  During her tenure, she was awarded several certificates and medals while also being a participant in Joint Task Guantanamo as part of operation “Enduring Freedom”.  Tynnetta received an honorable discharge in 2006. In 1993, she gave birth to her “Blessing”, Abdullah Qawwee.

Shortly after the birth of her son, Tynnetta surrendered her life to Christ.  She is a member of Abundant Grace Faith Church, Louis Dixon, Sr., Pastor, Lansing, Michigan. Through the years, Tynnetta volunteered in ministry within the AV Department, singing with the choir, and various other ministries.

Tynnetta’s post-military careers included working as a Realtor with All-N-1, Inc. Up until her passing, Tynnetta was employed as an Executive Secretary—Legal Affairs Department for the State of Michigan - Health and Human Services.

During her leisure time, Tynnetta enjoyed participating in community-based activities, such as volunteering for habitat for humanity. She also enjoyed traveling with her “Birthday Entourage”. Tynnetta was an avid M & M memorabilia collector, Tennis enthusiast, and Prince discography aficionado.  Tynnetta enjoyed spending time with her son, family, and friends.

Tynnetta departed this life on May 3, 2022, at the age of 53 years old.  Preceding her in death are her mother, Linda A. Walker-Cole and sibling, Brenda Boles. She will be missed by so many.

Tynnetta leaves to cherish her memory; her Blessing, Abdullah Qawwee, father, Muhammad A. Qawwee; Momma and Daddy, Diedra and John Boles; grandmothers, Dorothy Fusilier and Lillie M Walker; siblings, Muhammad Qawwee II (Angie), Ayasha Scott, Evona Kelly, Haniyyah Qawwee (Curtis), A’Lynne Dukes (Emanuel), DeAnna Boles-Cambridge, Tanya Porter; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends including special devoted and oldest friend, Nicole Maklin.

To her “Diece” Myrical, Haniyyah, and Zakiyyah – “I LOVE YOU and THANK YOU immensely for your loving and dedicated attention to my mother”.  — Abdullah
