Toni Jo Henry (Lansing)

Our beloved sister, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Ms. Toni Jo Henry passed away Friday, February 12, 2016 in Lansing, Michigan at the age of 69. She was born in Chicago, Illinois, the third of six children born to Wilfred and Florence Henry.
Toni Jo attended Chicago Public Schools and graduated in 1964 from Thornton High School. She was an employee at The United States Steel Corporation from 1974 to 1985.
Toni Jo dearly loved her family and cherishes all her nieces and nephews. She especially adored her grandchildren and great- grandson. She enjoyed holidays, reading, shopping, cooking shows, tennis and mastering challenging puzzles in her retirement. She enjoyed being a mother to all.

Toni Jo Henry was preceded in death by her parents, Wilfred and Florence Henry, two brothers, Wilfred and Darryl Henry and a sister, Ethyl Connor.
Toni Jo leaves to cherish her memory a daughter, Denise (James) Henry, Lansing, Michigan; 3 grandchildren, Chantelle and Jeneece Henry, Devante Henry-Clemmons; 1 great-grandchild, Khaleb Henry Watson; 2 sisters, Francine Henry and Iris (Raymond) Powell all of Lansing, Michigan; 2 aunts, Marion Williams and Henette White; 2 uncles, Robert Handy (Connie) White and Walter (Florene) White; a sister-in-law, Deborah Henry-Eatmonds; nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends including special friends, Sheila Franklin, Joeann Spencer, Jeanettia Green, Theresa Orta, Penny Zerka, Bianca McCastle, Breanna Harvey and Leon Clemmons.
