Tommy Lee Williams (Lansing)

Mr. Tommy Lee Williams Jack peacefully transitioned into eternal life on Sunday, October 4, 2015 in Lansing, Michigan at Sparrow Health System. Age 54 years. He was born on February 2, 1961 in Clarksdale, Mississippi to Sam Tucker Sr. and Mary Lee (Tucker) Wilhite.
Tommy was a quick learner. He learned to walk at nine months of age and learned to drive at age seven. While attending Sexton High School in Lansing, Michigan, Tommy received two certificates, one in mechanics and the other in carpentry. Tommy worked as a laborer with his stepfather Lovie Wilhite at Southern Foundation Finisher for 15 years. Tommy was a passionate and caring man. He enjoyed playing his guitar, working on cars and helping others to take care of their lawns or gardens. His family and friends will always remember him as a loving and gentle person.
He leaves to cherish his memory one son, Javon Lee Williams of Lansing, Michigan; parents, Mary and Lovie Wilhite; grandmother, Berline Williams of Lansing, Michigan; three sisters, Josephine Brown of Lansing, Michigan, Deloise Tucker and Carol Tucker of Atlanta, Georgia; one brother, Sam Tucker Jr; half-sisters, Mia Harris of Lansing, Michigan, Roxie McIntyre of Dallas, Texas and Gloria Jenkins of Fresno, California; step-sisters, Lanett Crenshaw and Teresa Wilhite of Lansing, Michigan; step-brothers, Lovie Wilhite Jr. of Lansing, Michigan and Johnny Ray Wilhite of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; his ex-wife, Carol Williams Deal of Atlanta, Georgia; a host of nieces, nephews, uncles and aunts and friends.
Tommy was preceded in death by his father, Sam Tucker Sr., grandmother, Rosie Lee Johnson, grandfathers, Mose Johnson and Joseph Williams Sr.
