Todd D. Jones

Todd Darrell Jones Sr. age 53, passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2020 at his residence in Saginaw, Michigan.

Todd was born to Edward and Vera Jones on March 3, 1967 in Saginaw. He graduated from Arthur Hill High School, “Class of 1985” and went on to graduate from Ross Medical School. Todd was very passionate about music and even composed music of his own. Growing up in church and surrounded by a family of singers and musicians made his love of music second nature. In his free time, he also enjoyed playing and watching basketball.

Todd’s laid-back demeanor and strong memory will be missed. His memory was impeccable. He never forgot anything or anyone. He would always make mention of the members of the church in which he was raised, Coleman Temple COGIC. Todd often spoke about those he remembered from Jones Elementary, Central Junior High and Arthur Hill High School. His favorite quote, “Small minds are easily amused,” came from his elementary school principal. Todd loved cracking jokes, playing games with his family and being supercool.

Todd was preceded in death by his grandparents, James and Mary Watson, Tard and Lula Walker, and Ester and Mallie Jones Sr.

He leaves to cherish his memory three beautiful children, Diamond Jones, Atlanta, Georgia, Todd Jones Jr. and Torri (Michael) Green, both of Saginaw, Michigan; four wonderful grandchildren, Asa, Michael, Corri and Micah; parents, Edward and Vera Jones; brother, Vincent (Kelly) Jones, Redhook, New York; sisters, Fontella (Tard) Smith and Tosha Parker, Saginaw, Michigan; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, including longtime friends, Ralph Butler, Anthony Essex, Charles Nickleberry and Chris Murray.
