Terry Wilson (Lansing)

Mr. Terry Earl Wilson went to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 5, 2022, in Lansing, Michigan. Age 63 years. He was born on February 18, 1958, to Chanley Andrew and Mae Francis Sullivan Wilson in Blytheville, Arkansas.

Terry relocated to Lansing, Michigan with his parents and graduated from J. W. Sexton High School. He enlisted in the U. S. Army right after high school and served for over one year. Terry united in marriage to Terri Dodd, and they were blessed with Earl Juan. He took culinary classes at Lansing Community College. Terry gave his life to the Lord at an early age.

Although Terry dealt with several challenges in life, he always found something to do. He enjoyed fishing, playing dominos, watching wrestling, going to the casino, and especially spending time with his family. Terry was loving, always willing to help when needed, and enjoyed sports. He worked as the head cook in his mother’s restaurant, Mae’s Carryout. Terry was a loving father, grandfather, brother uncle, cousin, and friend.

He leaves to cherish his memory, two sons, Terry Brown and Terrence Wilson; eight grandchildren, Terry, Jr., T’elon, T’ezhir, DeShar, honesty, Jaden, Jada, and T’erry Brown; father Charley Andrew Wilson; four brothers, Kenneth Wilson, Timothy (Kelly) Wilson, Patrick Wilson and Raymond Newell of Lansing, Michigan; six sisters, Patricia (Doug) Westbrook, Saginaw, Michigan, Leann (Billy) White, Carolyn McCloud, Kina (Robert) Gordon, Murfreesboro, Tennessee, and Tawauna Allen; long-time girlfriend, Angela Dean, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mae Francis, son, Earl Juan Wilson; sister, Gwendolyn Wilson; grandparents, Leroy and Flora Thurman, and Charley Sr. and Limmie Wilson.
