Teresa Lynn Hummel passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at St. Marys of Michigan. Age 52 years. She was born May 17, 1958 in Goshen, Indiana to Williams and Joanne Hummel.
Teresa graduated from Chippewa Hills High School in 1975. She attended both Delta College and Davenport University. She was employed at Davenport University in the Library and the State of Michigan Home Health Care Service. Teresa also volunteered for LSSM of Eastern Michigan for many years. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Saginaw, MI. Her interests were needle-point, crocheting, spending time with her mother, children, grandchildren and children in the neighborhood (Chuckie).
She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Zollie (Shelly) Hummel, Leslie Furbright Jr., Frances Hummel all of Saginaw, MI; Grandson, DeQuaViance (Bunk) Wright, Saginaw, MI; mother, JoAnne Hummel-Cox; god mother, Sabrina Mims (Mommie); 4 sisters, Penny (Will) Luster, Elk IN, Michele (Fred) Wilkins, Escondido, CA, Holly (Ira) Welch, Vestaburg, MI, Francine Hummel, Saginaw, MI; 2 brothers, William Hummel, Vandellia, MI, Delmar (Rhonda) Hummel, Middleberry, IN; 8 nieces, Amber Rai Ford, Deanna (Ron) Fenby, Kristen (Dude) Welch, Jessica Hummel, Edna Hummel, Christina Hummel, Jamie Hummel, Danny Hummel, Felice Hummel; 9 nephews, Andrew (Marie) Coffell, Arthur (Jennifer) Coffell, William (Toni) Hummel, Dustin (Nikki) Welch, Joshua Hummel, Brandon Hummel, Ashton Welch, Jamie Hummel; 4 aunts, Dolly (Hank) LeCounte; Janice (Delbert) Chupp, Frances (Maurice) Bontrayger, Dorothy (Don) Reiley; uncle, Thomas (Nancy) Ethell many other relatives and friends including a very special cousin, Steven D. Hale; aunt Barb, Deb, Jodi, Diane Johnson and Lori; a very special friend, Sabrina Mims (Mommie).
Teresa was preceded in death by her father William Hummel Sr., step-mother, Audrey Hummel; uncle Delmar (Betty) Ethell, and cousin, Franny Hale.
