Tammie Jones (Lansing)

Tammie Lynn Jones, the fifth child of Amos and Marvella Jones was born on September 4, 1964 in Muskegon, Michigan.

She attended grammar and high school in Lansing, Michigan.

Tammie leaves to cherish her one and only son Jason D. Franklin. Tammie and Jason had an inseparable bond that no one could come between. Jason had recently informed Tammie that she was going to be the grandmother of a new baby girl, Ja’nylah Lynn Franklin who was recently born May 6, 2019. The bond that Tammie and Jason shared is one that can never be broken.

Tammie worked for many years at McLaren Hospital, where her coworkers and patients loved her dearly. It was in her spirit to be a nurturer. Whenever you would call, she would come. She will be mostly missed by her smile that could light up any room that she walked into.

In her younger years, she had a love for and exceled in basketball and track. Her record was recently broken in the 400-meter run. In her spare time, you could always catch her spending time with her family and friends, playing bingo, and most importantly going to the Casino indulging in crab legs. More recently, she had started traveling with her good friend Hazel, living life and enjoying every moment. Tammie was born into eternity on April 30, 2019 surrounded by her loving family.

Preceding her in death is her father, Amos Jones. Left to remember her is her son Jason Franklin and beloved mother, Marvella Jones. She also leaves to cherish her memory brothers, Michael (Dawn), David (Cynthia), Larry (Theresa), and Clarence (Anita) Jones, all of Lansing, Michigan, and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends and special friend, Hazel McCray, and Goddaughter, Rykiya Evan, who will all miss their beloved Tammie.
