Tamaris Vernell Steward Jr.

April 25, 2000 — June 7, 2012

Tamaris Vernell Steward Jr. or TJ as he was referred to by many was born on April 25, 2000 at Covenant Healthcare-Cooper in Saginaw, Michigan. TJ enjoyed playing various sports, but his favorites were basketball and football. He loved playing video games and had a deep affection for his lifelong idol, pop star Michael Jackson. TJ was an active member of Daniels Den Ministries. He was a student at Carrollton Middle School where he was admired and loved by his peers, teachers and the administrative staff. After successfully completing the sixth grade, TJ eagerly awaited the opportunity to begin his summer vacation with family and friends when he passed away unexpectedly on June 7, 2012.
TJ leaves to cherish his memory his father, Tamaris Vernell Steward Sr. (Denise Franklin); mother, Tiffany Shenille Owens (Toby Gilbert); two sisters, TaMarea and TaMiya Steward; one brother, who will be forever regarded as his best friend, Tamareyon Steward; grandparents, Luther Myles, Faye Steward, James and Kathryn Owens; great-grandparents, Roberta Lewis, Addie Mae Owens; five aunts, Latasha (Anthony) Pratt, Tangela Owens (Tony Bell), Sabrina Cannon, Sophia Montgomery, Patricia Stone; four uncles, James Owens Jr. (Tierra Steward), James (Catrina) Cannon, Willie Cannon (Tisha Donald), Saxdon Miller; many other relatives and friends who were dear to his heart including two very dear uncles, Thomas McKinley (Tom Tom) and Marcus Myles; a special cousin, Tyani McKinley; special friends, Kelvis Sears Jr., Donyae Taylor and Malique Foster.
He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Willie R. Owens, Booker T. and Rosa Jackson; special great uncle, Fredrick L. Jackson; cousin, Demeterius Owens.
The family would like to express special thanks to the staff at Covenant Healthcare-Cooper, Pastor Taurus and First Lady Darlene Simpson and the Daniels Den Ministries congregation, Greater Coleman Temple COGIC World Outreach Campus congregation, we thank you for your prayers and continuous support. To Superintendent Craig Douglas and Principal Tiffany Peterson and all our friends and family who have expressed their deepest condolences.
