Shirley Stuckey

May 12, 1951 — June 27, 2012

Our mom, granny, sister, aunt and friend is finally resting comfortably. Shirley Ann Stuckey departed this life after fighting a courageous 4 year battle with cancer on June 27, 2012 at her home. She was born May 12, 1951 in Terry, Mississippi to Josephine Thompson.
Shirley graduated from Terry High School in 1969. She joined Terry Grove Missionary Baptist Church and accepted Christ at an early age. She relocated to Saginaw, Michigan where she began working at Saginaw Steering Gear. She was a faithful employee for 26 years and was a member of UAW Local 699. Shirley had a huge heart and enjoyed nothing more than spending time with her children, granddaughters, going to the casino, more casinos and watching her Westerns all day, everyday.
She leaves behind but without regret her children, Paula Louise Thomas of Saginaw; Tina Stuckey-Green of Byram, Mississippi, William (Angarette) Stuckey of Lansing, Michigan; four step-children, Natasha Stuckey, Brandon Williams, Willie Williams all of Saginaw, Michigan, Niazsha Jackson, Panama City, Florida; grandchildren, Kenaysha Stuckey-Green and Lorie Green, both of Byram, Mississippi, Alyse Kamyl Stuckey of Lansing, Michigan; her sisters and brothers, Rebecca (Greg) Brown, Ollie Marie Sims and Theresa (Chris) Robinson Larry (Gloria) Thompson and Milton (Zyronious)Thompson, all of Mississippi; seven nieces, Tasha, Coriee, Tiara, Shanita, Jennifer, Zekia and Katrina; nine nephews, Trayveon, Hubert, CJ, Nicholas, Donald Jr., Derrick, Desmond, DeMarkus and Anthony; mother and father-in-law, Iola Terry & Willis Stuckey Sr.; sisters-in-law, Evelyn (Murry) Culberson and Charlotte Stuckey; brother-in-law, Donald Stuckey Sr.; she also leaves to mourn many great nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends, including specials friends, Mr & Mrs Robert Glover, Louis Weems, Mercy Jones, Lois Holiday, Willis (Joyce) Stuckey Jr.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Maggie Ruth Thompson, Seddie Lee Thompson and Belvie Mack; son-in-law, Anthony Thomas; uncle, Mercy Thompson.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Ernie P. Balcueva, Dr. Ray M., the 7th floor staff of Covenant Harrison, Visiting Nurses Association and her nephews, Anthony and Desmond.
Repast will be immediately following services at Paradise Funeral Chapel, 3100 S. Washington Ave.
